At Global Care Foundation, we believe in supporting organizations that create lasting change — not just through temporary aid, but through empowerment, inclusion, and hope. Two of those organizations are Wellspring Community and A Precious Child, both of which are making a profound difference in the lives of individuals and families across Colorado.
Wellspring Community
Empowering Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Wellspring Community is a Colorado nonprofit providing transformative work, enrichment, and social opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). With a mission to foster belonging, purpose, and independence, Wellspring creates a vibrant environment where participants — affectionately called “STARS” — are celebrated for who they are and supported in becoming all they’re meant to be.
Through their programs, participants gain:
- Job training and paid employment
- Creative expression through arts, drama, and music
- Social engagement and community connection
- Life skills and faith-based encouragement
Whether it’s working in the community, performing on stage, or sharing a meal with peers, the STARS of Wellspring are shining examples of joy, resilience, and the value of inclusive community.
A Precious Child
Providing Children in Need with the Resources to Thrive
A Precious Child is a nonprofit organization serving children and families in Colorado facing poverty, homelessness, and crisis situations. Through resource distribution, educational support, and wraparound services, they ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed — regardless of their circumstances.
Their impact reaches more than 57,000 children each year through programs such as:
- Clothing and hygiene essentials
- Back-to-school supplies
- Holiday gift drives
- Access to sports, arts, and extracurricular activities
- Case management and long-term family support
A Precious Child partners with over 500 schools and agencies to identify needs quickly and serve families with dignity and care — ensuring no child falls through the cracks.
